Board Room Usage

Central PA Chamber members may reserve the Board Room, free of charge, on a first come first serve basis. The Board Room may be used for meeting and training purposes. Refreshments and meals may be brought in and we encourage our members to utilize other member’s services.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

Central PA Chamber members or businesses who build a new facility are encouraged to hold a groundbreaking ceremony (at no cost to the member) prior to construction. Members who wish to host a ceremony must simply contact Chamber staff to schedule a time and date.

Internet Promotion

The Chambers web site www.centralpachamber.com is a great resource for people seeking information about the Central Pennsylvania Region and draws over 4,000 new visitors per month. Members receive a free alphabetical and up to 3 categorical listings and a free direct link to your own web site. We can make this connection immediately once you become a member.

Networking

Annual Awards Banquet An upbeat gala held at the beginning of the year, recognizes the outgoing and incoming Chamber officers and directors, celebrates the work of committee chairs and volunteers, and honors the Chambers, Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year,Small Business of the Year,Business & Education Award, and the Presidents Award recipients.

Business After Hours Provides excellent venues for connecting with fellow members, discussing contemporary issues, learning about the Chambers special initiatives and giving your business needed exposure.

Business & Education Golf Tournament More than 100 golfers participate in this relaxing, fun-filled event at the Turbot Hills Golf Course to show their support for the Chambers business and education partnership. Lunch, goodie bags, contests and dinner are included in this special event that raises money for the work of the Chambers Business & Education Partnership.

Chamber Academy Chamber Academy is an entrepreneurial development program that brings leading professionals and emerging business owners together. The curriculum is designed to prepare entrepreneurs with information, resources and techniques to operate a business successfully. Workshops are designed to give managers, owners and potential owners the tools needed to analyze and resolve business problems and to keep informed of educational, financial, research and international trade developments.

Chamber Challenge & Business Expo This event enables area businesses and organizations to showcase their products and services. Participants will travel to designated "Chamber Stops" drawing playing card(s) at each stop from October 1st through October 22. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end. Prizes will be awarded for the best hand on October 22nd at the Business Expo. Come out and experience the various businesses being represented throughout the Central PA region. Each vendor booth will receive a "Favorite Business" voting card and will select the business that best displays the company's information. An award for "Favorite Business" will be announced just prior to 4:00 p.m. so that you are able to display your award during the evening's event.

Economic Development Summit This premier Chamber event will feature discussions pertaining to business and economic development in the Central Pennsylvania Region. Economic Development Council members, Industrial Development Association representatives, legislators and local business leaders will be invited to attend.

Legislative Breakfast An opportunity for Chamber members to meet our Congressional, State and County Elected Officials to hear about issues affecting the community and specifically the business climate. These events draw area business leaders as well as local municipal officials. The Central PA Chamber of Commerce holds these meetings jointly with the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Membership Meeting Each quarter the Chamber holds a general membership meeting open to all chamber members and guests. This meeting serves as an informational forum and highlights the state of the Chamber.

Notary Services

Our Chamber members receive free notary services at our Office located at 700 Hepburn Street, Suite #4 in Milton. Appointments for this service are suggested.

Publications, Lists and Information

Brochure Rack Display Members are encouraged to display, free of charge, promotional materials such as business cards, brochures and announcements at the Chamber as the office is regularly visited by information seekers.

Certificates of Origin Our Chamber members receive free legal certification on exported goods at our office located at 700 Hepburn Street, Suite #4 in Milton. Appointments for this service are suggested.

Copies Black & White. No fee for the first 5 copies. $.15 per copy over 5 copies.

Demographic & Economic Profile This profile information is taken from the Center for Workforce Development & Analysis and includes information pertaining to the Central Pennsylvania Region. There is no fee for Chamber members.

Faxes There is no fee for Chamber members.

Mailing Labels Purchase peel & stick membership mailing labels for your direct mail campaign. ($.25 / sheet for members).

Membership Directory Members are entitled to free business listing in this professional business directory. As a member, you get an alphabetical listing and a categorical listing.

Membership List There is no fee for Chamber members. This list contains contact information of all current Chamber members.

Regional Map The Chamber is often the first place that tourists and new arrivals inquire about a map of Central Pennsylvania. Display advertising is available on the map. More than 10,000 maps are distributed annually

The Chamber recognizes the importance of referrals to your business. The Chamber is very loyal to its members and refers dozens of callers to members for their services each week.

Representation

Coalition To Keep I-80 Toll Free The Chamber has officially taken a stand on the No Tolls on I-80 from the very beginning. We realize how devastating this will be on the businesses and for future growth. We have also joined the Coalition of other Chambers across the state to fight this initiative.

Local Government The Chamber works with local government officials in the region to make doing business in the Greater Susquehanna Valley the best it can possibly be.

State and Federal Government The Chamber studies state and federal issues, takes positions that encourage economic well being in the Valley and effectively communicates the voice of the business owners to appropriate elected officials and government offices.

Ribbon Cuttings

For no fee at all, the Chamber's staff will help coordinate your ribbon-cutting. Whether you are a new member or an old one that would like to showcase their business, we would be happy to help publicize your important event.

The Chamber has a variety of sponsorship opportunities available to members. We offer flexible packages to meet the budget needs of all types of businesses. If you have not received a copy of the annual Event & Sponsorship Guide, please ask us to forward one to you.

The Chamber Report

Our monthly newsletter will keep you abreast of Chamber and community news. Your business will receive promotion upon joining and renewing each year. Opportunities exist for members to write a guest column or article promoting their business and/or products and services. The Chamber Report is printed as an insert in The Standard Journal on the first Saturday of each month and also mailed to all Chamber members.

Newsletter Inserts Add a flier insert to our monthly newsletter and reach 600 business leaders in the community. Provide us with the copies and we will be happy to insert them into our newsletter, The Chamber Report.

The Chamber e-Report An electronic report distributed on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. The Chamber e-Report is intended to give you up to date information about things going on with the Chamber and the members and is designed to be a quick read. It is not a duplication of the print Chamber Report.
